What to Expect When You First Start Using CBD
What to expect when you first start using CBD
Whether you just started putting your Daily Habit into your morning coffee or are considering placing an order, you’re probably wondering what to expect when you first start using CBD. CBD has been shown to help with sleep, anxiety, stress, and workout recovery, and Daily Habit combines CBD with MCT to help deliver those benefits faster.
If you’re thinking, “that sounds great, but what’s the catch?” There really isn’t one. One thing to note, though, is that CBD can be a helpful supplement, but it’s not a magic cure-all, so there are a few things you should know before you start using CBD.
What Are The Side Effects Of CBD?
Not to sound like an infomercial, but it’s important to discuss any new supplements with your doctor before diving right in. A common concern with CBD is that it can make you drowsy during the day since it can help with sleep issues. The good news is, though, that it won’t make you sleepy, so you don’t have to worry about falling asleep during a meeting (boredom notwithstanding). Even better news is that side effects are not normally an issue with CBD.
Will CBD Get Me High?
This will either be good news or bad news, depending on what you’re after, but no: CBD won’t make you high. Daily Habit is a full spectrum CBD powder that contains less than 0.3% THC (enough to make the CBD work better, but not enough to get you high) so you can take it in the morning and get on with your day as usual. You won’t even get the munchies. And, good news for people who get anxious from weed: Daily Habit can actually help lessen feelings of anxiety. So you will get all the health benefits of CBD without the psychoactive feelings of THC.
How Long Do The Effects Of CBD Last?
Like we said before, CBD isn’t a magic pill that’s going to instantly solve all your problems (but when we discover that, we’ll let you know). When you ingest Daily Habit — whether it be in your coffee, tea, smoothie, baked goods, or whatever your favorite way is — you need to give it some time to kick in. It will depend on a few factors, like how you took it and your body, but it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours before you start feeling the effects.
And if you take Daily Habit CBD for the first time and don’t immediately feel relaxed, don’t stress. (One thing you don’t need to worry about is the quality of our CBD.) Just like most supplements, consistency is key, and it’s important to build up a (ahem) daily habit. Then you’ll really get the full benefits. For some people, it can take a few days of consistent use before they really feel the difference from using CBD. We say, give it a week or two to see how you really feel. Kind of like how you wouldn’t start an exercise routine and expect to be ripped in a day (or, you secretly do, but deep down know that’s not realistic), it could take time before you really start noticing the benefits of Daily Habit.
But once you do get in a groove, Daily Habit’s effects can last for up to 6 hours. That’s because Daily Habit is made with coconut powder, which provides natural, healthy fats that slow absorption, meaning it stays in your system longer. So for stressful days or nights when you’re having trouble falling asleep, it really can be a one-and-done dose.
OK So What Will CBD Do For Me?
Glad you asked! Our bodies all have something called the endocannabinoid system, whose sole job is to help the body stay on balance (or, if you remember from sixth grade science class, maintain homeostasis). So when you take Daily Habit full spectrum CBD, aka cannabidiol, you’re giving that system an extra push to get you back on track, even when you’re stressed, not sleeping, fatigued from working out, feeling inflammation, etc.
Like we said, you won’t feel high from CBD, even Daily Habit’s full spectrum CBD. What you will feel, though, is a general sense of chillness. If you’re taking CBD to help with inflammation or pain, it may take a few days to a week for those feelings to subside.
